For this year's Singapore Food Festival, I think that the stalls located at the Singapore Food Festival Village bring palettes to the senses of each individual. The food that they introduce and sell are very colourful and flavourful.

Most of which, they showcases the unique representation of our Singapore culture, social cohesion and also most importantly, the opportunity to try new food creations by some of the chefs out there.
However, there are always two sides to a coin.
What I find that was lacking in the Singapore Food Festival 2012 was the personal touch between consumers and the event organisers. It is not doubt that there was a wide variety of food that people can choose from. However, I realised that the only interaction between the consumers and stall vendors was only during the food-purchasing process. Other than that, there was not much interactions and information given to the consumers.
Morever, from some of the reviews that I have found online, a Facebook user, Grace Seow, posted on the Singapore Food Festival's 2012 Facebook Page, commenting that she was quite disappointed with how the event turned out.
Firstly, the food that was served to her was not up to expectations. Secondly, the quoted price for a particular stall selling Soya Beancurd was misleading as it was indicated as $2.80 but it was still retailed at a price of $3.80. This information was being misrepresented to the consumer which can cause the buyer losing their trust in the seller. Not only that, this can also be spread through bad word-of-mouth which can inhibit other people from purchasing from this stall.
Also, the Singapore Food Festival is encouraging people to use and at the same time promoting NETs whereby those with the NETs Flashcard are entitled to 20% discount at the Singapore Food Festival Village.

However, it was feed backed that on the first day of the event itself, the NETs machines was faulty and not operating, and the staffs were also confused and unsystematic. This reduces the service efficiency of Singapore Food Festival and if it is not rectified immediately, it could hurt the branding of the Singapore Food Festival and hinders future purchase intentions from consumers.
