Moving on to the seventh marketing mix, it is packaging and distribution. It is a facilitating component in the marketing mix. 

Packaging and distribution involves intermediaries and there are quite a number of marketing intermediaries that Singapore Food Festival 2012 can reach out to the public and its target market. These marketing intermediaries include travel agents, hotel representatives, national, state and local tour agencies, concierges and the internet. 

However, the marketing intermediary that I found was most effective for Singapore Food Festival 2012 to market their event towards both tourists and the locals is through national state website like YourSingapore.com.

YourSingapore.com is an official Singapore tourism website that provides tourist information and also updates about the latest events happening in Singapore. 
This website provides a platform that Singapore Food Festival can leverage and tap upon to publicize its efforts to increase the awareness of the event. Hence, with this marketing intermediary, the Singapore Food Festival incurs a lower cost and wider reach to its targeted audience, therefore, is effective in contributing towards the success of the festival.
