The second marketing mix that Singapore Food Festival is using is place. Place is an experiential component under the marketing mix. It consists of the location of the event and how the products are sold to its customers.
I believe that the Singapore Food Festival 2012 has put into much consideration about the location that they would want to hold their event especially since there was a slight change in venue as compared to the previous years.
As mentioned above, the Singapore Food Festival 2012 is held at the Waterfront Promenade at Marina Bay.

Firstly, it is an accessible location. If this event is not accessible, it has no value. Secondly, the space was big and spacious enough to fit in 50 food vendors with tables and chairs for the public.

Furthermore, the setting of this event is also somewhat different from the past years because this year, consumers can enjoy the scenic view of the Marina Bay and the Marina Bay Sands while enjoying their bites. Hence with these points, place has been effective in contributing towards the success of the festival.
