The sixth marketing mix is people. It is also an experiential component of the marketing mix. People includes the stall vendors at the Singapore Food Festival Village, the chefs, and the target market of the Singapore Food Festival.
The stalls at the Singapore Food Festival Village is actually placed up for rental, and if any interested parties were to be interested, they could rent a booth and sell their food items there. Hence, since the Singapore Food Festival Village is the main highlight of this event, the quality of food and services these stall vendors will either make or break the event. For an instance, if the quality of the food was poor, the seafood that was used to make the food was not fresh, and the stall vendor's attitude was bad, it will leave people an impression that the Singapore Food Festival is terrible overall.
In addition, celebrity chef like Chef Eric Teo, who is not only the Food Consultant for the Singapore Food Festival 2012, but is also the president of the Singapore Chef's Association. With that, this event would be able to garner a lot of attention which eventually also helps to build up the success of the event.
